Good news para sa 4.1M pensioners ng Social Security System (SSS)!
Hindi na kailangang maghintay hanggang September para sa dagdag-pensyon dahil sinimulan na ng SSS ang maagang rollout ng ikalawang tranche ng Pension Reform Program ngayong June.
Ayon sa SSS, inagahan ang pension hike para mas mabilis na makapagbigay ng financial relief sa mga pensioner at kanilang pamilya sa gitna ng mataas na presyo ng bilihin, inflationary pressures, at mas mabigat na energy costs.
Sinabi nina Finance Secretary at Social Security Commission Chair Frederick D. Go at SSS President and Chief Executive Officer Robert Joseph M. de Claro na maglalabas ang ahensya ng humigit-kumulang P6 billion na additional pension benefits mula June hanggang August 2026.
“We are releasing the second tranche of pension increases ahead of schedule to support millions of pensioners and their families, helping them meet their daily needs and enjoy greater financial security sooner,” ani Go.
“With the early implementation, we hope to provide timely relief to our pensioners and their families as they continue to face every day financial challenges,” ani de Claro.
Ayon kay de Claro, ang SSS pensioners as of May 31, 2026 ay eligible nang makatanggap ng pension hike simula June 1, 2026.
Samantala, ang mga pensioner na ang contingencies ay papasok mula June 1 hanggang August 31, 2026 ay makakatanggap ng increased pension simula September 1, 2026.
Sa ilalim ng second tranche ng Pension Reform Program, may 10 percent increase sa monthly pensions ang mga retirement at disability pensioners.
May 5 percent increase naman para sa death at survivor pensioners.
“We recognize that rising prices and economic uncertainty continue to place pressure on Filipino families and businesses,” ani de Claro.
“Through the PRP, SSS ensures that our pensioners have access to timely, affordable and reliable financial support when they need it most.”
Ang Pension Reform Program ang unang multi-year pension increase sa kasaysayan ng SSS.
Sa ilalim nito, may annual pension increases ang pensioners tuwing September mula 2025 hanggang 2027.
Pero ngayong 2026, inagahan na ang second tranche para mas maagang maramdaman ng pensioners ang dagdag sa buwanang pensyon. /Bistado
