Umabot na sa mahigit P98 milyon ang naipamahaging fuel subsidy ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) sa libo-libong taxi operators at drivers sa buong bansa.
Sa pahayag nitong Miyerkules, sinabi ni LTFRB Chair Vigor Mendoza II na malaking bahagi ng halaga ay naipamahagi ng LTFRB Central Office, kasunod ang Davao Region, Central Visayas, at Western Visayas.
“Our coordination with the transport service entities involving taxis and the operators is continuous. Regular monitoring is done for real-time intervention in cases of glitches and other concerns,” ani Mendoza.
Inanunsyo rin niya ang isa pang malaking distribusyon ng fuel subsidy na isasagawa sa LTFRB Central Office at Land Transportation Office o LTO Central Office sa Quezon City ngayong Biyernes at Sabado.
“We are aware of the challenges and that is why we are exerting all the efforts that include initiating contact and coordination with transport service entities (TSEs) and other stakeholders just to fast-track the distribution process,” dagdag niya.
Ayon sa LTFRB, nagpapatuloy rin ang pamamahagi ng fuel subsidy sa iba pang public utility vehicles (PUV), alinsunod sa direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at acting Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez.
Inatasan ni Mendoza ang mga LTFRB regional directors, lalo na sa malalaking lungsod, na makipag-ugnayan sa mga transport service entities para mapabilis ang proseso ng distribusyon.
“The funds are available and our goal is to download them in the soonest possible time and have all the recipients receive them as soon as possible,” ani Mendoza.
Hinimok din ng LTFRB ang mga kwalipikadong PUV drivers at operators na nahihirapang makuha ang kanilang fuel subsidy na makipag-ugnayan sa ahensya para sa tulong.
“Para po sa inyo ang ayudang ito, kaya magtulungan tayo upang mas mabilis na makuha ang tulong na galing sa pamahalaan,” dagdag niya. /Bistado
