Tiniyak ng Department of Energy (DOE) na stable at sapat ang fuel supply sa Southern Mindanao matapos ang magnitude 7.8 na lindol, at wala umanong naitalang disruption sa broader domestic fuel supply chain.
Ayon sa DOE, sapat ang kasalukuyang inventory para tugunan ang demand sa mga apektadong lugar.
Karamihan sa bulk terminals, depots, at storage facilities ay patuloy na normal ang operasyon at walang naiulat na critical damage.
Sa Regions XI at XII, na kabilang sa mga pinakaapektado ng lindol, ipinakita ng inspections na halos lahat ng major downstream facilities ay operational pa rin.
Patuloy ding normal ang operasyon ng lahat ng depots at liquefied petroleum gas o LPG refilling plants.
Sa tatlong import terminals sa General Santos City, dalawa na ang operational. Isa ang nagtamo ng minor damage at kasalukuyang inaayos.
Target nitong bumalik sa operasyon sa Huwebes, June 11.
Ayon sa DOE, bukas at operational pa rin ang malaking bahagi ng gasoline stations sa mga apektadong rehiyon.
Sa Region IX, isa lamang sa 787 gasoline stations ang pansamantalang hindi available.
Sa Region XI, pito sa 1,620 gasoline stations ang pansamantalang hindi available.
Sa Region XII, 39 sa 891 gasoline stations ang non-operational dahil sa minor structural damage, power interruptions, o ongoing post-earthquake safety evaluations.
Sa kabuuan, 47 gasoline stations lamang ang pansamantalang sarado, maliit na bahagi ng total retail outlets sa affected areas.
“Consistent with the President’s directive to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of vital services and supplies, our priority following the earthquake has been to guarantee that our affected communities continue to have reliable access to fuel,” ani Energy Secretary Sharon S. Garin.
“We are working closely with industry players and local government units to fast-track safety evaluations and permit approvals so that temporarily affected facilities can safely resume operations as soon as possible. We assure the public that fuel supply remains adequate, and there is no cause for concern over shortages,” dagdag niya.
Muling iginiit ng DOE na walang naitalang disruptions sa mas malawak na domestic fuel supply chain dahil sa lindol.
Sapat din umano ang kabuuang stock levels para sa kasalukuyang pangangailangan.
Patuloy na mino-monitor ng DOE ang sitwasyon at nakikipag-coordinate sa mga industry stakeholder para matiyak ang tuloy-tuloy na delivery ng fuel at iba pang petroleum products.
Pinayuhan din ng ahensya ang publiko na huwag mag-panic buying o mag-hoard dahil nananatiling stable at available ang fuel supplies. /Bistado
