Tinanggap na ni dating Senador Antonio “Sonny” F. Trillanes IV ang subpoena mula sa House Committee on Justice na nag-uutos sa kanyang humarap sa impeachment hearing laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte sa Abril 22 at magsumite ng mga dokumento kaugnay ng alegasyon ng unexplained wealth.
Ang subpoena ad testificandum et duces tecum ay inilabas ng House Committee on Justice, na nag-uutos kay Trillanes na dumalo sa pagdinig alas-10 ng umaga sa 2nd Floor ng People Center at magdala ng mga dokumento sa parehong petsa at oras.
Sa ilalim ng kautusan, inaatasan siyang magsumite ng “original or certified true copies of documents in connection with the allegations in the impeachment complaints of unexplained wealth, which Vice President Sara Z. Duterte failed to reflect in her Statement of Assets, Liabilities, & Net Worth.”
Nakasaad din sa subpoena ang layunin ng kanyang testimonya.
“To testify that Rodrigo Duterte, jointly with his daughter, Vice President Sara Z. Duterte maintained numerous accounts where hundreds of millions if not billions of pesos were deposited/transferred over the years, and other related matters.”
Ang direktiba ay inilabas kaugnay ng mga verified impeachment complaints laban sa Bise Presidente na iniendorso ng ilang mambabatas.
Ayon sa dokumento, maaaring samahan si Trillanes ng legal counsel sa pagdinig, ngunit limitado lamang ito sa advisory role at “shall not be permitted to speak or otherwise participate in the proceedings.”
Nilagdaan ang subpoena ni House Committee on Justice chairperson Rep. Gerville “Jinky Bitrics” Luistro ng Batangas. Lumagda rin si Deputy Speaker Alfredo “Albee” Benitez para kay Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III, habang pinagtibay ito ni Secretary General Cheloy Garafil.
Patuloy ang pagdinig ng House panel para tukuyin kung may probable cause sa mga impeachment complaint laban kay Duterte. /Bistado
