Muli na namang gagawa ng international record si Lea Salonga dahil ngayong darating na September 4, 2026, ipagkakaloob na sa kanya ang ika-2,855 star, sa Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Ini-anunsyo ng Hollywood Chamber of Commerce sa pamumuno ng Walk of Fame Producer nitong si Ana Martinez.sa isang press statement, “the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome Lea Salonga to the Hollywood Walk of Fame.”
Ayon sa existing record, ang Hollywood Chamber of Commerce na na-establish noong 1921, “is dedicated to advancing the economic vitality, cultural richness, and civic well-being of Hollywood.”
Mayroon itong nearly 700 member organizations that collectively employ more than 148,000 people, “the Chamber is Hollywood’s largest and most influential business organization. The Chamber is also the proud steward of two of the world’s most recognizable cultural landmarks—the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame© and the legendary Hollywood Sign©—preserving and promoting these global symbols on behalf of Hollywood and its residents, businesses, and visitors.”
Si Lea ang magiging kauna-unahang pinay artist/celebrity na magkakaroon ng star sa isa pinaka-kilalang cultural landmarks sa USA, na kinikilala din ng buong mundo.
Simula nang i-establish ito noong 1960, milyon-milyong mga tao na, turista at iba’t-ibang uri ng tao ang nakabisita at nagkaroon na ng pagkakataon na makita/puntahan ito.
Ayon sa mga naging credentials ni Salonga, i–o-honor siya dahil sa mga achievements at contributions niya sa larangan ng “Live Performance,” at sa mga iba pa niyang nagawa, sa films, TV at mga multi-media works.
Ayon kay Martinez, “Lea Salonga is a true trailblazer whose extraordinary talent and decades-long career have inspired audiences around the world. We are thrilled to honor her with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and especially proud that she will be the first Filipina to receive this iconic recognition. Her achievement is a milestone, not only for Lea, but for the Filipino community and for generations of artists who will follow in her footsteps.”
Nakilala ang pangalan ni Lea internationally dahil sa Tony Award-winning role niya sa Miss Saigon. Dagdag pa diyan ang iba pa niyang mga nakuhang awards gaya ng Olivier, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, ay Theatre World Awards.
Siya rin ang kauna-unahang Asian na gumanap sa pamosong Eponine role sa musical na Les Misérables sa Broadway at bumalik uli sa parehong show bilang si Fantine noong 2006.
Nitong January 2026 ang role naman ni Madame Thénardier sa Les Misérables: ang kanyang binigyang buhay.
Ang iba pang mga Broadway performances/musical na pinagbidahan ni Lea ay ang 2018 Broadway revival of Once on This Island as the Goddess of Love, Erzulie. Nanalo ito ng Tony Award para sa “Best Revival of a Musical” at binigyan si Lea at buong cast ng Grammy nomination for “Best Musical Theater Album.”
Matagumpay din ang naging paglabas niya sa Broadway version ng Here Lies Love, Allegiance, at Flower Drum Song.
Sa larangan ng TV, here and abroad, pinuri din ang mga achievements si Lea.
Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin (a reboot of the popular series) sa HBO Max, ang critically acclaimed Sony musical-drama Yellow Rose, ang KPop Demon Hunters, ang Netflix animated series na Centaurworld, at ang FX’s animated series Little Demon, among others, ay ilan lamang sa mga matatagumpay na exposure ni Lea.
Sa Pilipinas ay naging pamoso siya bilang isa sa mga coaches ng The Voice Kids na tumakbo din ng kung ilang season sa ere. May mga nagawa din siyang mga local films, TV shows, stage plays at concerts na kinilala ang husay at pinuri ang mga kalidad ng produksyon.
Sa larangan ng recording at mga kanta, nakilala hindi lamang ang boses ni Lea sa mga Disney songs na ginawang theme songs gaya ng MULAN at Aladdin, kung saan nakapag-perform pa siya sa isang OSCARS Award ceremonies.
Sa katunayan, kamakailan lamang ay binigyan din siya ng WALT DISNEY ng titulong “Disney Legend.”

Aquino III), four American Presidents (Joe Biden, George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush), and for Diana, Princess of Wales and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. She was honored by Time Magazine as a Time100 Impact Award Recipient and received the Gold House 2023 Gold Legend Award.”
