Dadagdagan ng Philippine Airlines (PAL) ang flights nito patungo sa Japan at Australia para saluhin ang mas mataas na demand sa winter, Christmas, at New Year travel season.
Simula October 25, tataasan ng PAL ang Manila-Tokyo Narita at Manila-Osaka Kansai flights mula 14 hanggang 21 weekly flights hanggang March 27, 2027.
Dadagdagan din ang Manila-Sapporo Chitose flights mula tatlo hanggang lima kada linggo mula November 24, 2026 hanggang February 27, 2027.
Dahil dito, aabot sa hanggang 87 weekly flights ang Japan operations ng PAL.
Nagseserbisyo ang airline sa Tokyo Narita, Tokyo Haneda, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka, at Sapporo mula Manila, at sa Narita at Osaka mula Cebu.
Ayon sa PAL, kasama sa expanded schedule ang early morning departures mula Manila at evening departures mula Narita at Osaka para mas mahaba ang oras ng biyahe at pananatili ng pasahero sa destinasyon.
“The winter season is one of the most popular times of the year for Filipinos visiting Japan, while it is also a peak period for Japanese travelers seeking the Philippines’ tropical destinations,” sabi ni PAL President Richard Nuttall.
“By adding more flights, we are giving our customers greater flexibility during these high-demand months while strengthening tourism, business, and cultural exchanges between our two countries,” dagdag niya.
Ayon kay Nuttall, magdadagdag din ang extra flights ng cargo capacity para suportahan ang trade sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Japan.
Magdadagdag din ang PAL ng flights patungo sa Melbourne at Perth sa selected peak travel dates para sa Christmas at New Year holidays.
I-a-upgrade naman sa mas malalaking eroplano ang ilang Sydney at Brisbane flights para makapagbigay ng mas maraming seats.
Ayon sa PAL, target ng dagdag Australia capacity ang Filipino communities, holiday travelers, at mga bibisita sa pamilya at kaibigan sa year-end peak.
Sinabi rin ng airline na complement ito sa frequent flyer partnership ng PAL at Qantas, na nagpapahintulot sa customers na mag-redeem ng rewards sa parehong airlines.
Pinayuhan ng PAL ang passengers na mag-book nang maaga para makuha ang preferred travel dates sa holiday travel period. /Bistado
