Malaking bawas-presyo sa petrolyo ang posibleng sumalubong sa motorists sa susunod na linggo, dahil maaaring bumaba ng hanggang P5 kada litro ang diesel at gasolina.
Batay sa market developments hanggang Huwebes, sinabi ni Jetti Petroleum President Leo Bellas sa mga reporter nitong Biyernes na tinatayang bababa ng P4.50 hanggang P5 kada litro ang presyo ng parehong diesel at gasolina.
Iniuugnay ang inaasahang rollback sa panibagong pag-asang makakamit ang diplomatic breakthrough sa hidwaan ng United States (US) at Iran.
“Oil price(s) retreated as renewed hopes of a diplomatic breakthrough to the US-Iran conflict eased the geopolitical risk premium, despite the lingering uncertainty and persistent risks to Red Sea shipping,” ani Bellas.
Bumaba ang crude oil prices, na nagtulak din pababa sa presyo ng diesel at gasolina sa Asia “as easing geopolitical risks reduced the recent supply premium.”
Nakatulong din sa posibleng rollback ang paglakas ng piso laban sa US dollar.
“The stronger (Philippine) peso this week against the US dollar helped put more downward pressure on domestic prices,” dagdag ni Bellas.
Gayunman, sinabi niyang nananatiling matatag ang market fundamentals dahil sa mataas na demand at humihigpit na supply.
Ayon kay Bellas, “fundamentals remain relatively firm due to strong demand amid tightening supply as the continuing disruption to Middle East exports through the Strait of Hormuz and from Saudi Red Sea ports limit the availability of feedstock for Asian refiners.”
Nagbabala rin siyang maaaring malimitahan ang karagdagang pagbaba ng presyo dahil patuloy na kumokonti ang outflows ng mga produkto ng Russia.
“Further downside is capped due to concerns over tightening global supply pool as Russian product outflows continue to decline,” ani Bellas.
“Continued supply disruptions and conflicting political statements from the US and Iran are keeping prices volatile, with increasing upside risk.”
Ngayong linggo, bumaba na nang P0.60 hanggang P2.10 kada litro ang presyo ng mga produktong petrolyo. /Bistado
