Naging emosyonal si Joy Barcoma sa surprising ibinigay sa kanya ng programming Unang Hirit sa GMA 7.
Ipinagkaloob kasi ng programa kay Joy ang ‘farewell walk’ na dapat ay kanyang ginawa sa katatapos lamang na Miss Philippines Earth 2026 coronation night last Saturday, June 27.
Si Joy Barcoma ang outgoing Miss Philippines Earth 2025 na naging kontrobersyal dahil sa sari-saring akusasyong ibinato sa kanya sa buong reign niya.
Kilalang very outspoken si Joy sa mga sari-saring usapin sa pageantry at maging sa mga isyu ng bayan at sa mga adbokasiya sa environment.
Minsan na siyang pinaratangang nagkakalat ng tsismis sa ibang kandidata noong sumali siya sa Miss World Philippines.
Nitong mag-viral ang isyu sa mga ‘halfies’ sa pageantry, isa din si Joy sa maagap na nagbigay ng matindi at powerful na mensahe.
Dahil sa kanyang pagiging ‘outspoken’ ay kinuha siya ng Unang Hirit ng GMA 7 para maging isa sa mga segment co-hosts ng show.
May mga iba pa din siyang pinagka-abalahan sa showbiz na tila naging isyu niya sa pamunuan ng Carousel Productions, ang may-ari ng franchise ng Miss Earth.
Ayon sa kumalat na mga balita, bukod sa napapabayaan umano ni Joy ang kanyang responsibilidad bilang 2025 Miss Earth Philippines, may usapin din umano sa “pera o commission” na hindi na-re-remit properly bilang bahagi ng kontrata niya sa nasabing organisasyon.
Walang kumpirmasyon o denial sa naturang usapin, hanggang sa dumating nga ang coronation night kung saan dapat ay mag-relinquish ng crown si Joy.
Ilang oras bago pa man ang event, nag-post na sa kanyang FB account si Joy at doon niya ipinahayag ang saloobin.
