Ang mga napiling House prosecutors ay sina Reps. Gerville “Jinky Bitrics” Reyes-Luistro ng Batangas 2nd District, Terry L. Ridon ng Bicol Saro Party-list, Ramon Rodrigo “Rodge” D. Gutierrez ng 1-Rider Party-list, Ysabel Maria J. Zamora ng San Juan City, Lorenz R. Defensor ng Iloilo 3rd District, Jose Manuel “Chel” I. Diokno ng Akbayan Party-list, Leila M. de Lima ng Mamamayang Liberal Party-list, Arlene “Kaka” J. Bag-ao ng Dinagat Islands, Jonathan Keith T. Flores ng Bukidnon 2nd District, Lordan G. Suan ng Cagayan de Oro City 1st District, at Joel R. Chua ng Manila 3rd District.
Isinagawa ang kanilang eleksyon alinsunod sa Section 16, Rule VI ng House Rules of Procedure on Impeachment Proceedings.
Ang prosecution panel ang magpe-presenta ng Articles of Impeachment at supporting evidence sa harap ng Senate impeachment court.
Binubuo ang panel ng senior House leaders, veteran litigators, former prosecutors, constitutional lawyers, at human rights advocates mula sa majority at minority blocs.
Nauna nang na-impeach ng House si Duterte sa botong 257-25-9, lampas na lampas sa one-third constitutional threshold na kailangan para maiakyat sa Senate ang Articles of Impeachment para sa trial.
Sakop ng impeachment articles ang mga alegasyon ng misuse ng P612.5 million confidential funds, unexplained wealth, bribery, at threats laban kina President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, at former Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez.
Nag-ugat ang impeachment proceedings sa ilang buwang hearings ng House Committee on Justice.
Unanimous na bumoto ang komite, 53-0, para makahanap ng probable cause. Kalaunan, inaprubahan din nito, 55-0, ang committee report at Articles of Impeachment para sa plenary action.
Sa pagbuo ng prosecution panel, handa na ang Kamara para sa susunod na yugto ng kaso sa Senate. Ang magiging tungkulin ng 11 prosecutors ay dalhin ang kaso, ipaliwanag ang articles, at iharap ang ebidensyang inaprubahan ng House sa impeachment process. /Bistado
